Growing up in Hermosa Beach, Zana Muno excelled at soccer, track, and softball. She decided to go all-in on volleyball and has quickly become a fierce competitor known for her unique, entertaining playing style.
Her skills secured her spot on the UCLA beach volleyball team where she led UCLA to back-to-back championships. Over the course of her college career, she received two AVCA All-American Honorable Mentions.
In 2019, Muno joined the AVP as a professional volleyball player. Alongside teammate Crissy Jones, the two defied odds to reach the semifinals in an incredible Cinderella run. Muno has since made 4 semifinals with 4 different teammates.
Muno enjoys merging her love of fashion with volleyball, often sporting skirts, dresses, and one-pieces in traditional bikini volleyball competitions. She also values healthy, organic living and fuels herself with foods that enhance her active lifestyle.
Muno’s passions extend to writing, philanthropy, and farming. Causes close to her heart include youth sports, pediatric cancer, and environmental sustainability. When she’s not training in Santa Barbara, you’ll most likely find her gardening or tending to her chickens!
